PURPOSE: A transmission and reception unit within wireless subscriber network channel self with error detection and correction function and a method for detecting and correcting an error of the same are provided to detect troubles of transmission and reception units by installing an error detection and correction coding circuit and an error detection and correction decoding circuit. CONSTITUTION: A transmission and reception unit within wireless subscriber network channel self with error detection and correction function and a method for detecting and correcting an error of the same comprise an error detection and correction coding circuit(13) and an error detection and correction decoding circuit(31). The error detection and correction coding circuit codes digital data of received I, Q signals to detect and correct their errors and transmits them to a multi-line data bus on a backboard. The error detection and correction decoding circuit is installed within a reception unit for receiving data from the multi-line data bus.
