METHOD FOR CONTROLLING HANDOFF FOR HOME-ZONE SERVICE IN CELLULAR MOBILE TELECOMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for controlling handoff for a home-zone service is provided to control the handoff generated when a cellular phone is moved out of home-zone, by requesting service grade information of the cellular phone and home-zone list information to a cellular phone requesting for transmission, in a cellular system supplying a home-zone service. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling handoff for a home-zone service comprises the steps of: making a cellular phone connect a base station supplying a home-zone service and communication; making the cellular phone request for the handoff; if a base station for the handoff is a home-zone, executing the handoff to the base station; if not, identifying whether the cellular phone is capable of being used in the home-zone; if the base station is not the home zone and the cellular phone is capable therein, intercepting a call; and if the base station is not the home zone, and the cellular phone is used in all regions, executing the handoff to the base station.
