PURPOSE: A mass production method of young tree of Eleutherococcus sessiliflorus by somatic cell germination is provided. CONSTITUTION: The mass production method of young tree of Eleutherococcus sessiliflorus comprises the steps of: germinating the 7 mm-sized conjugated embryo of Eleutherococcus sessiliflorus under bacteria-free condition to obtain 1 to 3 mm sized young Eleutherococcus sessiliflorus; cutting young Eleutherococcus sessiliflorus into 2 to 5 mm size and incubating them on solid medium containing oxin(0.1 to 5 mg/L of 2,4-D) for two months to induce somatic cell callus; sequentially incubating the callus on each solid medium and in liquid medium containing 1.0 mg/L of 2,4-D at an interval of 2 to 3 weeks; incubating the callus on solid medium and in liquid medium without 2,4-D to obtain somatic cell; and germinating the somatic cell to produce young trees of Eleutherococcus sessiliflorus.
