A basic fertilizer for improving the soil containing phosphoric acid and minerals

PURPOSE: A fertilizer using slag, being generated after dephosphorization of hot metal from iron tapping is provided to save manufacturing costs, help the growth of plants, and enrich acidified soil. CONSTITUTION: The fertilizer contains 35-50 wt.% of CaO, 5-15 wt.% of MgO, 5-15 wt.% of SiO2, 10-30 wt.% of P2O5, 10-20 wt.% of FeO and other essential substances. The fertilizer is characterized in that the degree of base saturation (CaO+MgO+P2O5) is 75-85 wt.%. And, the ratio of CaO/MgO and the ratio of P2O5/MgO are 6 or lower and 2 or higher, respectively. Slag for use in the fertilizer is generated by cooling, pulverizing, and meshing hot metal, which is generated from iron tapping.
