PURPOSE: A running machine is provided, which senses the weight of a user and provides the quantity of exercise. CONSTITUTION: The running machine is provided with a current sensor (38) which is connected with a driving motor (36), senses the change of current, and detects and outputs the electrical signals (current, voltage and resistance) according to the sensed signal; a mode convert switch (46) which is equipped at the one side of a control panel (42), and converts the mode of the running machine into manual mode or automatic mode; a data store part (48) which stores the suitable quantity and time of exercise depending on the weight of a user; and a control part (50) which is placed between the mode covert switch (46) and the data store part (48), compares the electrical signals output from the current sensor (38) with the data stored in the data store part (48), and controls the running machine selectively.
