PURPOSE: A process for preparing yeast added grey yarn by dipping mineral powder in yeast liquid for a predetermined time, mixing with resin chips, melting and spinning and fiber prepared using the same are provided which can produce fiber excellent in absorbing and deodorizing function. CONSTITUTION: The process comprises the steps of mixing yeast liquid with mineral powder, mixing 1 to 10% by weight of a mixture of yeast liquid and mineral powder with 90 to 99% by weight of resin, melting and spinning. For an example, 20L yeast liquid is mixed with 1kg mineral power having a particle diameter of less than 1 micrometer, 98% by weight of polyester and 2% by weight of the obtained mineral powder and melted at 283 1C to give a filament yarn having 2 denier.
