PURPOSE: An information extracting method for all routes of a PVC and an SVC in an ATM, a frame-relay and a PHD network is provided to easily find out a node of failure occurrence in connection set up thanks to a tool to identify the all routes and make an effective switching as an operator views the set route by obtaining individual information from each network factor related to a PVC and an SVC for all the routes from a transmitting party to a receiving party of subscribers regardless of the types of networks and allowing the operator to recognize that easily. CONSTITUTION: In a network including a permanent virtual connection manager(PVCM) module and a switched virtual connection manager(SVCM) module for performing a permanent virtual connection or a switched virtual connection according to the type of call when there is a connection request from a subscriber, a backbone connection processing(BBCP) module for performing a call set-up in case that there is a call connection request from the PVCM module and the SVCM module, and a simple network management protocol(SNMP) agent informing a network management system(NMS) of a set route according to the call request, the SNMP agents of each network factors obtain a route of a corresponding network factor from the BBCP and transmits it to the NMS, and the NMS checks an intermediate point and an end point by using the information received from the SNMP agents of each networks factors, and then the whole connection route of the network where the call has been set up is completed.
