PURPOSE: A synchronous controller of a multimedia computer and a stepwise synchronizing method of a multimedia frame using the same are provided to immediately output audio to be synchronized without waiting so far as the audio does not go ahead of video over the humane sensitive bound. CONSTITUTION: An MSR(Master Stream Register)(314) designates a reference stream of video and audio streams. An MTR(Master Time Register)(311) stores a master time value of a video frame lately output through a video frame output. An SMR(Slave's Master time Register)(312) stores a master time value of an audio frame lately output through an audio frame output. An SSR(Slave's Slave time register)(313) stores a slave time value of an audio frame lately output through an audio frame output. A CSR(Current Skew Register)(315) stores a current skew. An SBR(Skew Bound Register(316) stores the maximum permission bound synchronously skewed. If a frame of a previous media is stayed at a video FIFO(317) and an audio FIFO(318), the stay period is stored in PIT(Pause Interval Table)(319) in accordance with the synchronous skew value stored in the CSR(315).
