PURPOSE: A cellulase derived from Erwinia carotovora subsp. carotovora LY34 is provided, which can be used in the treatment of plant diseases caused by Erwinia carotovora subsp. carotovora. CONSTITUTION: The cellulase derived from Erwinia carotovora subsp. carotovora having the amino sequence shown in Fig. 9 is obtained by the steps of: pure isolating strains from vegetables and fruits suffered from diseases caused by Erwinia carotovora subsp. carotovora, using plate diluting method; incubating the strains in TY-CMC medium for 24 hours; selecting strains showing yellow circle by treating with 1% Conco red; incubating the selected strains in Luria-Bertani(LB) medium at 30 deg. C; and selecting Erwinia carotovora subsp. carotovora LY34 based on its cellulose decomposability.
