LASER WELDING APPARATUS AND IT'S APPLICATION FOR MULTI-CHANNEL OPTICAL MODULE PACKAGING

PURPOSE: A laser welding machine and a method for producing a multi-channel optical module package are provided to reduce a displacement and to arrange and to weld multi-channel optical fibers. CONSTITUTION: A laser welding machine contains an auxiliary module holder(21) located in a base to install an auxiliary module substrate; an optical direction converter(10) to arrange an optical fiber housing holder(11) by installing in both sides of the auxiliary module holder(21); many beam heads(41) installed in the optical fiber housing holder(11) and to irradiate laser beams for welding an optical fiber housing(61) and an auxiliary module substrate; a beam delivery(40) to offer directional force by installing in the beam head(41) and to fix a focus of laser beams; and positional displacement devices(30,33,34) of the beam delivery to move the beam delivery(40). Thereby, the multi-channel optical fibers are stuck to various multi-channel elements. Moreover, various welding portions are formed by simply controlling a stage of the beam delivery.
