In a two-way wireless paging system with improved communication efficiency, when the mobile station becomes impossible to transmit, unnecessary communication is not repeated between the transmitting base station and the receiving base station. When the mobile station is notified that the transmission is possible, the transmitting base station transmits a call-signal to the mobile station. The mobile station receives the call signal before transmitting the reception response toward the receiving base station. The receiving base station receives the reception response. One communication is completed. If the receiving base station fails to receive the reception response, the transmitting base station transmits the call signal again. This is repeated until the receiving base station has successfully received the reception response from the mobile station. If it is notified that the transmission from the mobile station is difficult to continue, the base station side carries out subsequent communication processing to limit the call transmission from the transmitting base station to the mobile station. The receiving base station does not receive a reception response from the mobile station to complete one communication.
