PURPOSE: A UPS(Uninterruptible Power Supply) system capable of remote control and remote alarm generation is provided to monitor and control a UPS system in a remote place and to automatically notify an external operator in case that the UPS system is in abnormal condition. CONSTITUTION: A UPS interface unit(20) detects the status of a UPS unit(10) and transmits it to a control unit(30). An input and display unit(50) displays the status or messages of the system to a user. A memory(60) stores data appointed by the user, such as a password, a telephone number for emergency, other various option data, etc. A voice generation unit(40) announces a message or the abnormal status of the UPS unit(10) to the user by voice. A telephone line interface(70) executes various operations associated with telephone according to the control of the control unit(30). The control unit(30), provided with a microprocessor and a ROM, carries out various operations according to a program stored in the ROM.
