CRT CHROMATICITY TESTING DEVICE OF CRT PHOSPHOR SCREEN

A chromaticity inspection device for the CRT fluorescent surface is installed to enable on-line automatic inspection. A supporting member is provided to support the face panel of the color CRT having a fluorescent surface. The ultraviolet light source irradiates the ultraviolet light toward the fluorescent surface placed on the support member. The mobility sensor unit detects visible light emitted from a position of the fluorescent surface by irradiated ultraviolet rays and outputs chromaticity signals for the detected red, green, and blue components of the visible light. The determination unit receives the chroma signal output from the sensor unit to determine a chromaticity value corresponding to the received chromaticity signal, and compares the chromaticity value thus determined with a corresponding setting value to determine whether or not the chromaticity value is appropriate. The control unit controls the sensor unit and the determination unit. The sensor unit is placed in contact with the surface of the face panel during sensing to prevent the influence of external light under the control of the control unit.
