TESTING METHOD OF TEST CABLE WITH THE IMPLICIT SEND FUNCTION

PURPOSE: A test item testing method with implicit send function is provided to reduce product development period and enhance product quality by optimizing a systematic test method. CONSTITUTION: When a tester requires a message or PDU(protocol data unit) on a PC(personal computer) screen, the corresponding button is clicked. It is used to the test protocol suitability for signal realization/clearing defined at the interface of terminal and switch in an ATM(asynchronous transfer mode) network(6). The tested ATM communication network interface card(12a) is physically connected to the tester via an optical cable(8) or a UTP-3 cable. The ATM communication network interface card(12a) is connected to a PC(12) via a PCI(peripheral component interconnect) bus. The tested protocol is realized physically or by soft ware on a memory chip.
