PURPOSE: A method and system for recovering converter gas by applying pressure to converter gas generated in the blowing process of a converter to the blast furnace gas pressure through a booster and supplying to a blast furnace gas pipe are provided, which enable to make use of converter gas effectively, save energy and cause equipment to be operated stably. CONSTITUTION: This method comprises the steps of: detecting the generation of converter gas exceeded a gas storage amount fixed in a holder; increasing the excess converter gas to blast furnace gas pressure through a booster; and supplying the pressured converter gas to a blast furnace gas pipe until a gas storage amount in the holder attains a suitable level. The recovering system for converter gas comprises a holder(10) attached with a first discharge pipe(20) with a booster(24) for storing converter gas and the first discharge pipe equipped with a check valve(26) and connected to a blast furnace gas pipe(40).
