High-pressure tank for gas-operated motor vehicles

The high pressure tank, for vehicles fuelled by a gas such as natural gas at a pressure of at least 200 bar, is made mostly of plastics. The tank shape is structured to fit within the vehicle configuration. The tank is produced by a winder from a plastics as a liner material, together with carbon or aramide fibres and the like, with a reinforcement material of vinyl ester resin, epoxy resin, etc.. The tank can have a metal liner or metal plates to take up the pressure.
