Heat treatment plant for solution annealing of aluminum alloy components in the aviation industry

A heat treatment installation for solution annealing of aluminium alloy or formed aluminium alloy sheets comprises a conveyor system (1) with several conveyor belts (2-7) and/or transport rollers. A furnace (10) with a conveyor (3) and a heating system (11) is located after the conveyor (2). A quenching unit (14) with a liquid quenching medium (13) follows the furnace. The conveyor system in the transition region between the furnace and the quenching unit is designed so that the components are dipped into the quenching liquid without bubble formation. The quenching unit is followed by cleaning and drying systems (19, 20) with a shared conveyor (7). The entire process is monitored and controlled by means of a process control system.
