The unit comprising the clutch hub (7), clutch sleeve (32) and cover (37,38) is sealed oil tight from the outside by sealing rings (47,48) and the free space between the hub, sleeve and covers is filled at least in part with oil. During rotation, the oil moves radially outwards towards the wall of the bore of the clutch sleeve. In event of overload, entrainment members (17) are moved radially inwards to project fully into the first recesses of the hub and the grooves in the bore of the sleeve fill with oil. At high relative speed the oil prevents the entrainment members from returning.
