In obtaining the seal, a cut out (10) is provided on one piece (5) at the interface with the other piece (6). The two piece are assembled so that the cut out (10) in the first (5) comes in line with injection feed holes (12,12a) in the second piece (6). A sealing material is then injected into the recess (10) via the feed holes at a high pressure of 500 to 2,000 bar and the elastomer material is then cured or vulcanized by inductive heating.
