The invention relates to a method for generating a temperature-dependent signal for correcting temperature influences on a fibre-optic gyroscope, comprising at least one 3x3 coupler, a semiconductor light source and a monitor diode for detecting the radiation output of the semiconductor light source. The output signal of the monitor diode (D3, D4) is transmitted to a control unit (R) and the control unit (R) controls the injection current of the semiconductor light source (L) such that the output signal of the monitor diode (D3, D4) is constant and that a signal [I(T)] proportional to the injection current is created so as to correct temperature influences.
