A valve (18) features a water passage (14) between a water tap and the water supply pipe, and a valve body (19). The body (9) is connected to a first magnet (23), and an operating device (23,24,25) is provided for controlling the valve body (19) and has a second magnet (24) with opposite poling to the first magnet (23). The device (23,24,25) features an element (25) which reacts to leak water supplied via the hollow space. The element (5) is made of a material that dissolves in the leaked water. The valve body (19) is moved in the flow direction through the dissolving of the element to close the valve.
