Diode-pumped solid-state ring laser gyro operation

The ring laser gyro operating method uses 2 ring waves circulated in opposition, for providing a Sagnac difference frequency used for measuring a rotation rate and a second difference frequency within the resonator of the ring laser which is greater than the maximum Sagnac difference frequency, preventing frequency lock-in of the counter-rotating ring waves. An Independent claim for a solid-state ring laser gyro is also included.
