The hydraulic switch controls a consumer (4, 6) with a setting pump (2), the setting of which is variably controlled in dependence on maximum consumer pressure. Each consumer has a measuring diaphragm (14a, 14b) with pressure meter (16a, 16b) after it. A control device is fitted to supply extra load in the closing direction when the limit of the regulating piston of the pressure meter is exceeded.
