By a guide section(6) the slide-in end(8) of the deformation tube protrudes through the slide-in end(7) of the support tube against the slide-in direction(13). The body(10) of the shock absorber is movable in the guide section through a guide sleeve(12) located co-axially between the body and deformation tube. A deforming component(21) has a reinforced protrusion(22) protruding towards the centre axis(16) and formed on the support tube, the smallest internal diameter of the protrusion being smaller than the external diameter of the deformation tube.
