The seal has two sliding rings on first and second sliding ring carriers. At least one sliding ring (4,5) is non-turnably fitted sealed via a sealing element (11,12) into a ring-shaped spring element (6,7). One end of the spring element is connected to the associated sliding ring carrier (2). The element may also be an integral part of a corrugated compensator (8). The sealing element is an elastomer part, an O-ring, or a part of a metal-plastic compound.
