The switching unit is free to slide along the length of a reception slot in the mounting rail. There is a clamping screw (5) lying within the slot, which acts on a pair of opposing clamp blocks (3,4) pressed into contact with the sides of the slot, via a clamping wedge (1). One of the clamp blocks has a hook cooperating with a corresponding guide surface of the other clamp block.
