The invention relates to a method and device for measuring a flow velocity-proportional value of a gas stream, said gas stream being divided into a main gas stream and a partial gas stream. Said partial gas stream is driven into a measuring channel (11) in such a way that it flows past a measuring element (21) having an output signal which is proportional to flow velocity. In order to compensate the influence of the gas moisture contents on the measurement, said gas stream is modified according to said gas moisture contents.
