A groove for a slide (16) is arranged in longitudinal direction of the insert in an insulating body (1). A cover (18) is fastened above the groove, comprising a view hole (19) and an additional hole directly over the connection of a display melt conductor (6) with the slide. The slide is pre-stressed against a pressure spring (17), comprises a plot edge, and can be pulled out of the insert. After the separating of the display melt conductor, another color of the slide is recognizable through the view hole. The fuse insert includes contact knives, between which at least one main melt conductor, and a separate electrically parallel display melt conductor, are held against a pressure spring in an insulating body. A groove for receiving a slide (16) is arranged in longitudinal axis direction of the insert in the insulating body (1).
