The head has a profiled base body (11) with two parallel, face opposing, same shape, support surfaces (13, 14). One surface is occupied with the plane cutter (12), and on the other is attached a cover shell having an arc-shaped outer contour resting on that surface. The shell has indentations with flat recessed bases containing holes and is clamped to the support surface by the recesses base via clamping bolts passing through the holes, where the shell edges press on the surface.
