The bolt (3) has a disc-shaped burn-off surface (4) on its lower end to be welded with an ignition point (5) formed on it. A further disc-shaped burn-off surface (6) between the first burn-off surface and point has a smaller diameter than the first burn-off surface and is designed to melt onto the workpiece during welding so that the molten flow can harden again to expand the bolt fixing. The diameter of the burn-off surface is preferably considerably greater than the diameter of the bolt to be welded.
