A fluid concrete or floor plaster comprises mineral aggregate modified by addition of non-absorbent material of low apparent density. A fluid concrete or floor plaster comprises mineral aggregate (e.g. fly ash or quartz sand of pre-selected sieved size) and a mineral and/or hydraulic binder (e.g. cement), the aggregate being modified by addition of non-absorbent material of 0.6-1.2 (preferably 1.0) apparent density for stabilizing the binder/water/aggregate mixture as well as for enriching the surface with aggregate. Preferred Features: The non-absorbent material is, e.g., expanded glass, expanded clay with sealed surfaces or ceramic.
