Economic use of electric power needed for prodn. of clamping power acting on brake disc in electrically operated braking actuator and during braking operation of actuator

The method is carried out, so that during a braking operation of the braking actuator, only then is acted on with the full current required for the activation, if by an alteration of the braking required, an alteration of the clamping force should result. So that then if no alteration of the braking requirement results, the braking actuator is merely acted on with a small current, for maintaining the stationary desired clamping force.
