Reduction-stable COG ceramic material, especially for multilayer capacitors or LC filters with internal copper electrodes, comprises a rhombic bronze phase barium-samarium-neodymium titanate with added glass frit
A reduction-stable, high dielectric constant COG ceramic material, comprising a rhombic bronze phase barium-samarium-neodymium titanate of formula with glass frit addition. A reduction-stable, high dielectric constant COG ceramic material is based on the BaO-Nd2O3-Sm2O3-TiO2 system in the rhombic bronze phase region with addition of a glass frit of the ZnO-B2O3-SiO2, K2O-Na2O-BaO-Al2O3-ZrO2-ZnO-SiO2-B2O3 or Li2O-BaO-B2O3-SiO2 system. The ceramic material has the formula (I): BaII6-x(SmyNd1-y)8+2x/3Ti18O54 + p wt.% glass frit (I), where x = 1 to 2 exclusive, y = 0.5 to 1.0 exclusive and p = 3 to 10 exclusive. Preferred Features: The glass frit has the composition (a) (ZnO)58.5(B2O3)31.45(SiO2)10.05; (b) (K2O)4.5(Na2O)3.5(BaO)2.3(Al2O3)2.1(ZrO2)2.9(ZnO)4.4(SiO2)53.5(B2O3)26.7; or (c) (Li2O)7.0(BaO)42.0(B2O3)22.0(SiO2)29.0.
