Digital evaluation method for resolver analogue output signal for determining rotor position and angular velocity: involves using regulating loop to eliminate propagation time error in angle value
The method involves delivering sine and cosine signals obtained from the orthogonal stator windings of a resolver, when the rotor winding is supplied with a sinusoidal energizing signal, sampled and converted into digital signals, through a finite impulse response bandpass filters (26,36), before subsequent sampling and formation of a tangential function for calculation of the rotor angle. The propagation time error in the calculated angle value is eliminated using a regulating loop (44) with a proportional integral regulator (48).
