The adjustable hydrostatic axial piston machine has a cylinder block (4) and swash plate whose angle of tilt can be changed by a servo piston (9) which can be subjected to adjusting pressure. The servo-piston communicates with an electro-hydraulic control valve. The control valve has a control piston and a control sleeve which are movable relative to one another. The control piston can be adjusted axially with a stepping motor (10) and the control sleeve is coupled mechanically to an adjusting mechanism for the angle of tilt for feedback of the angle. The adjusting mechanism is a yoke connected to a cylinder block.
