The optoelectronic device has an emitter element (3) which emits transmission light beams. It also has a receiver element (4) which receives reception light beams. The device also has an analyser (5) for analysing the received signal at the output of the reception element. The transmission light beams are guided over the marks. The reception signals generated by received light beams reflected back from a mark to the receiver element are amplitude modulated according to the contrast pattern of the mark. The amplitude modulated signal is analysed in the analyser to identify the mark. The emitter element (3) has a transmitter (6) which emits light in the blue wavelength range.
