The arrangement has two flux-sensitive semiconductors (1) with a magnetic system (4) to provide a magnetic bias. They are located on the moving section of the motor and are spaced 90 deg apart over the magnetic track (5) of the motor to produce sine and cosine signals as the motor progresses along the track.
