The mounting has a bearing (23) supported by a carrier (24) provided with a damping device (25) with a drive for oscillation of an inertia mass. The drive is controlled in dependence on the detected vibration characteristics of the oscillating component provided by a sensor (2) and the relative movement of the carrier, via an electrical vibration compensation circuit.
