Housing cover for hydrodynamic torque converter has peripheral wall with continuous holder aperture on inner face for torsional vibration damper

The housing cover (14) is mainly cup-shaped and has a base wall (50) and peripheral wall (68). A continuous holder aperture (70) is formed in an inner face of the peripheral wall. One contour of the aperture is adapted to an outer contour of a torsional vibration damper (56) accomodated in the aperture. The cover is fabricated from a mainly flat pref. metal plate blank, and a ring-shaped recess is stamped into the blank.
