The device has an elastic protective element (5) for application to the break glass plate (3) so that it at least partly covers the break glass plate on its front in the break-in area. A rigid break-in element can be applied to the break-in area between the plate and the elastic element to magnify the breaking effect. An Independent claim is also included for a break glass plate actuating device.
