The border is assembled of several horizontally positioned palisades (2), which are fitted with vertical fibre glass anchoring elements (3) at the bottom in order to avoid a premature rotting of the timber. Each of the palisades is joined to a second palisade (5) by a horizontal fibre glass element. The space, surrounded by the border is covered with a watertight sheet (6) with small holes for excess water and filled with compost (7). The shape and height of the bed facilitates the gardening especially for an elderly or handicapped person.
