In the oxidation of organic compound(s) (I) containing carbon-carbon (C-C) double bonds by reaction with a medium containing oxygen (O2) in the presence of a heterogeneous catalyst, the medium also contains carbon monoxide (CO). An Independent claim is also included for an integrated process for the oxidation of (I) in 4 stages.
