Pigment-free or pigmented UV- and water-resistant ink liquid for various ink delivery systems contains a base ink solution, an aqueous dispersion of self-crosslinking thermoplastic acrylic polymer as binder and UV filter, ethanol, water, a basic additive and a thickener, preferably maple syrup. Pigment-free, UV- and water-resistant color liquid for fiber-tip, felt-tip or ball-point pens, feed containers and ink-jet systems, especially ink or soluble dye, comprising an aqueous solution or suspension of dyes, binders, preservatives and other normal additives etc. This liquid contains (I) 17.3-23.8 (preferably 19.8) vol% base ink or soluble dye solution; (II) 39.7-52.9 (preferably 46.3) vol% of an aqueous dispersion of thermoplastic and self-crosslinking acrylic polymer as binder and UV filter, especially Plextol (RTM; binder and UV filter); (III) 4.7-5.8 (preferably 5.3) vol% ethanol; (IV) 20.6-21.7 (preferably 21.2) vol% water; (V) 2.6-6.6 (preferably 3.9) vol% basic additive and 2.6-6.6 (preferably 3.3) vol% thickener, especially maple syrup. An Independent claim is also included for pigmented ink with the above properties and applications, containing (VII) 19.3-27.1 (preferably 23.2) vol% base pigment or ink solution; (II) 41.8-51.1 (preferably 46.5) vol% dispersion (II) as above; (III) 3.4-4.2 (preferably 3.8) vol% ethanol; (IV) 15.1-15.8 (preferably 15.5) vol% water; (VIII) 7.7-10.8 (preferably 9.3) vol% dye concentrate solution; and (IX) 1.4-1.7 (preferably 1.5) vol% foam suppressant.
