Material suitable for use as a 1-component adhesive and/or sealant, especially for substrates made of fluoro-rubber, comprises: (A) a solid component containing fluoro-rubber, carbon black, magnesium oxide and calcium oxide, and (B) a solvent which is essentially methyl ethyl ketone. Independent claims are also included for: (a) a method for using this material in which glued objects are left in ambient, preferably moist, air for several days, preferably a few days before use; (b) a process for the production of this material by compounding fluoro-rubber, carbon black and MgO on a mixing calender, stirring the mixture with the solvent, placing the mixture under nitrogen, adding CaO and mixing with intensive stirring.
