The holding and connecting device (1) comprises an adjusting screw (2) and a holding part (7) for the component (10) with a connecting part (3) which works against the lower jaw. The connecting and holding thread is fixed with the adjusting screw at right angles to the longitudinal direction. The adjustable screw has a guide (4) at whose one end (6) is a screw spindle (8) with its head housed in a U-bend.
