The system may use a set of pipes embedded in a porous wall, running horizontally and having alternate porous and watertight pipes spaced apart vertically, either at equal intervals or with the porous pipes immediately underneath and touching the watertight pipes. The horizontal pipes may be connected in parallel or in series. There may be an embedded trough for condensate, under the lowermost horizontal pipe.
