Small devices with database functionality, e.g. B. mobile phones with phone book function, can be controlled with the aid of a simplified device for speech recognition, which is consciously specialized in the recognition of control commands and single letters or combinations of letters. This improves detection performance and allows larger databases to be used with less hardware performance requirements.
