An assembly separates light fluids from a mixture of light and heavier fluids. The assembly consists of a tank (11) with an inlet (12) and an outlet (13). The inlet discharges through a tube (14) esp. to a continually-widening sub-surface outlet (14a). The outlet may be trumpet-shaped, conical or polygonal cross-sectional area (M).
