The method involves determining the paracentral, central peripheral and peripheral cornea curvature by projecting a placido-ring system onto the cornea, reflecting and mirroring it in the tear film and recovering the image using video topography. A short coherence measurement system is reflected into the central area and directed coaxially onto the cornea and the deeper eye sections.
