The head(1) of the rail vehicle has a dimensionally smaller frame(3) as a support structure in relation to its outer structure. Trim elements(4) are located inside the free space existing between the frame and outer structure and defines the outward appearance of the head of the vehicle. The support frame is formed from profiles and metal sheets joined by welding. The frame has screw-fastened flanges(5) for attachment to adjoining parts of the vehicle.
